A Fresh Online Presence: Chapter 3 Transformation's new website reflects brand's core values

We recently worked with Chapter 3 Transformations (C3T), a specialist change consultancy, with the design and build of a website to support the launch of their business.

The C3T team approached us with a need for a website that would support their brand, positioning them as experts in their field while conveying a sense of trust and professionalism. Despite tight timings, we were able to condense our creative and planning process to design a platform that met their needs and sets the foundation for future success.

Conveying expertise and establishing trust

From the outset, our primary goal was to create a website that immediately communicates credibility and highlights the depth of experience of the C3T team. Operating in a crowded consultancy sector, it was essential to differentiate C3T from competitors while maintaining professionalism and approachability. To achieve this, we developed a design that is visually engaging but also easy for the user to understand. The site structure allows C3T to showcase their wide range of expertise without overwhelming visitors with too much information, a critical balance we tried to maintain throughout the site.

Colour palette and visual concept

An essential part of the design process was developing a colour palette that would feel both welcoming and professional. The chosen tones are calming yet authoritative, striking the right note for a brand that deals with business transformation. However, what truly sets the look of this site apart is the unique visual imagery we put together. We introduced zoomed-in images of butterfly wings, which provide a subtle yet vibrant visual theme across the site. This concept came from a visual metaphor of transformation - the change from caterpillar to butterfly - which mirrors C3T's mission to support businesses as they undergo significant change, growth and evolution.

Not only do these butterfly-inspired images bring a splash of vibrancy, but they also provide C3T with a distinctive, ownable visual library that can evolve over time. This approach ensures that the brand has access to an ever-expanding pool of unique imagery.

Making the complex accessible and introducing subtle animation

Another important aspect of the design was ensuring that the site delivered a simple user journey. We paid close attention to the way the C3T ‘story’ is told across the site, particularly considering the way that complex information is structured, ensuring that it is easy to navigate without overwhelming the user. Clear, concise headlines were used throughout the site in an attempt to engage the target audience, presenting complex themes in a clear, accessible way. This approach was key to positioning C3T as a trusted expert in their field, whilst ensuring the user experience remained intuitive.

We also incorporated subtle animation elements throughout the site to bring a contemporary feel. These animations enhance the overall aesthetic and create a sleek, polished finish, without disrupting the user journey. By keeping the animations subtle, we ensured they enhanced the design without distracting from the core content or user engagement.

Lead generation and strategic design

Capturing leads was another essential consideration during the design process. To support C3T's business goals, we strategically placed ‘call to action’ buttons throughout the site, ensuring that users can easily get in touch from any page. This user-friendly approach encourages engagement and helps streamline the lead generation process, providing a clear path for potential clients to take the next step.
